The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) was founded in 1907 and enjoys high authority in the field of commercial real estate operation and management. BOMA Awards are also considered the “Oscars” of the commercial real estate industry. Every year, more than 100 excellent projects around the world participate in 15 categories of selection, and only one project can win the award in each category. Shanghai Tower is the only Chinese commercial real estate project and the only non-North American real estate project shortlisted for this year’s selection.
Given the uniqueness of Shanghai Tower, which distinguishes it from traditional high-rise buildings and has strong characteristics of the times, BOMA presented the Shanghai Tower with the only BOMA Global Innovation Award in the organization’s 112 years of existence, and the first time BOMA has given the award.
