People’s Choice Award by MIPIM (the world’s leading property market)

 

On March 17, Shanghai Tower was honored with the People’s Choice Award of the year by MIPIM, the world-renowned real estate investment trade fair, in Cannes, France. It is the first time that the award went to China and Shanghai Tower was the only non-European project in the fray.

The 2016 MIPIM brochure describes Shanghai Tower with the following accolades: “It is the tallest green landmark in the world, with a Platinum award from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and certified with the Green Building Label (GBL) in China at the same time. The 632-meter tower is more than just a building. A series of green sustainable development technologies has set a bold example for a vertical city. Daily needs can be met without leaving the building. It has integrated the garden, commerce sector, office zone, hotel and cultural site. Unlike most office buildings, Shanghai Tower is open to the public. The number for people getting in and out of the building reaches 30,000. Shanghai Tower sure is a mini city in this metropolis.”
