Shanghai Tower receives WorldSkills delegation
A delegation from WorldSkills International (WSI), led by its president Simon Bartley, CEO David Hoey and director of Skills Competitions Jane Stokie, visited Shanghai Tower on April 5.
The guests viewed Guanfu Treasury and Museum in the tower and appreciated exquisite artworks made by Chinese craftsmen. They then accepted interviews by the local media in the museum.
On the same day, Shanghai Mayor Ying Yong met the WSI delegation at the conference center on the 5th floor of Shanghai Tower and led them to the 118th floor observation deck to see the night views of Shanghai on both sides of Huangpu River.
The WSI organizes top-level skills competitions in the world. Shanghai is bidding for the right to host the 46th WorldSkills Competition in 2021. The WSI delegation came to Shanghai to check the city’s capability, environment and readiness for hosting the WorldSkills competitions.
