Shanghai Tower Unveils a New AI Plus Smart Cultural Tourism Program

On April 12, an AI-themed forum titled "AI's Dream—A Journey of Pursuing AI" as part of the Shanghai Tower Forum series was held at the Shanghai Tower, the tallest skyscraper in China. It was announced that "AI's Dream," a new AI plus smart cultural tourism program by the Shanghai Tower, would open its beta test.
Guided by Shanghai Chengtou Group Corporation and Lujiazui Administration Bureau and co-hosted by the Shanghai Tower, Xenario and Experisense, the forum was centered around the Shanghai Tower's new immersive experience space for smart cultural tourism "AI's Dream" and kicked off a fantastic exploration into a creative combination of technology, art, and education in the intelligent era.
"AI's Dream," located on the 102nd and 106th floors of the Shanghai Tower, is a collaborative creation between the Shanghai Tower and Xenario. Directed by Alexander Brandt (Flying Apple), the chief designer of the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, it is an immersive sci-fi experience program characterized by the theme of "exploring the relationship between humankind and AI." "AI's Dream" is the first AI-themed immersive experience program in China. As a creative AI plus smart cultural tourism program, it integrated popular elements such as AI dialogue, scenario interaction, and storyline experience, allowing visitors to follow the protagonist AiAi, a hyper-intelligent digital life being, to complete tasks like solving energy crises and protecting the environment. This not only provided participants with a cloud-based sci-fi experience, but also encouraged participants to explore the intertwined coexistence of humankind and AI and think about the true meaning of life.
During the event, Flying Apple, the creator of AiAi, shared insights on immersive experience, AI-driven experience, exhibition design, and future education and showcased some of the immersive scenarios in the program, thus allowing guests present to experience the charm of digital technology and interactive media art and stimulating their imagination of and interest in the future. Flying Apple said, "We hope that through this program, the audience will be immersed in a sci-fi future brimming with exploration and imagination and inspired to think about the unknown and possibilities." Mei Xue, General Manager of Shanghai Tower Business Operations Co., Ltd., said that the Shanghai Tower has always upheld the philosophy of "green, smart, and culture" and "AI's Dream" is not just a smart cultural tourism project, but also a bold attempt of the Shanghai Tower to explore the possibilities of new business models and super-high-rise buildings. By introducing digital technologies like AI, the Shanghai Tower aims to transform and upgrade tourism consumption spaces, creating an immersive experience space for smart tourism in China's tallest building, forming a platform for displaying, marketing and integrating digital creativity and "metaverse" applications and fully developing a vertical operation space for the cultural creativity industry driven by the digital economy.
As a newly launched brand campaign guided by the Shanghai Chengtou Group and Lujiazui Administration Bureau, the Shanghai Tower Forum serves as a platform for professionals in related sectors. Following the theme of "Green, Smart, and Culture", the forum regularly invites experts to discuss topics that are aligned with current trends and presented from the perspective of young individuals, thus igniting the power of collective wisdom. Its primary objective is to enhance the brand value of Shanghai Tower as a cultural landmark, and elevate its reputation and influence as a prominent brand. The representative character AiAi of the "AI's Dream" immersive experience program had made a stunning debut at the Shanghai Tower Forum on Metaverse held on December 16, 2022.
